The Digital World needs a Digital Workplace

The world has changed, it’s 2017 and it is time for your workplace to catch up. Devices outnumber people 6 to 1 and that number is growing every year. The world has gone digital and benefited from it greatly and your business can do the same. In 2016, Microsoft released multiple tools to make your move to the Digital Workplace a reality, but how do those tools work together to build the digital workplace? This Keynote will take you on a journey to see what your digital workplace could look like with the help of Office 365.

What Everyone Needs to Know to Drive Business Change and Technology Adoption in the Digital Workplace

There’s no such thing as a technology project, there are only technology enabled business change projects.  It should come as no surprise therefore that change and technology adoption are often cited as one of the key challenges in Digital Workplace, SharePoint and Office365 related projects. This session for CxO’s, project managers, business analysts, and anyone with an interest in ensuring that investments in the Microsoft productivity suite deliver the intended value.   The session will explore the REAL reasons why so many organisations struggle with business change and technology adoption, share the lessons learned from successful initiatives in world class organisations, and reveal the secrets of some of the world’s leading consulting organisations, including Microsoft’s new Global Adoption and Change practice. Going beyond the shallow rhetoric this session brings a fresh perspective and delivers a practical framework based on research and experience which will guarantee that “user adoption” isn’t a problem which undermines your projects.

Why Hybrid Equals Coexistence Going Forward

Microsoft has laid out a landscape full of choices whereby companies can take advantage of the best available technology in the locale that is best for their specific needs. This means that a state of on-premise and Cloud coexistence is going to be a big part of our future. In this session you will learn about the new landscape and how companies both large and small can take advantage of all the features that Office 365, Azure, and SharePoint 2016 bring to the table.

Everything You Wanted to Know About Power BI (But Were Afraid to Ask)

Power BI is the gold standard for cloud-based report delivery. It's very approachable - you can get up and running with it in minutes, but it's also very robust, secure and extensible. As you might expect, it has many pieces and nuances, and it's important to understand what is possible, even if you may not take immediate advantage of some features, in order to understand what to use when. This tutorial will help to guide you in building a complete analytical solution, using all the features of Power BI. We will start from nothing, and create queries that import and integrate data from many different sources. You will also learn how to refresh data using the on-premises data gateway and the personal gateway to connect to existing on-premises data from a variety of sources. In addition, you will see an overview the many other additional features available in Power BI. At the end of this full-day workshop you will be ready to not only start using Power BI for your projects, but you will also understand which approach is best for different situations. Bring your questions, and we'll do our best to answer them.

Mobilising Business Productivity

Why invest millions of Rands in business productivity solutions that employees only have access to for 8 hours a day when they are logged in at the office? Digital transformation in the workplace is realised by including mobile as a primary channel of all your business productivity and reporting solutions. These can be categorised into the main categories of: staff engagement solutions, mobile interface to strategic line of business systems and mobile reporting solutions, all of which will be discussed in this session.

The Ever-Changing Landscape of Information Management: Achieving Compliance without End User Burden

As the technology landscape rapidly changes, the practices and processes that are used to manage information must continuously evolve. Organisations can’t rely on traditional ways of managing information. They need to keep up with the pace and not be stuck in the old ways. Let’s take a look at how far information management has come and where it’s heading – from traditional records management and document management to enterprise content management. This session will explore how you can continue to deliver business value to your organisation in an ever-changing industry. We know that driving user adoption is key to information management success, but achieving this while balancing organisational requirements and IT tasks is an ever-mounting challenge. How can you achieve compliance by stealth? Alyssa Blackburn will showcase how to achieve compliance while meeting your organisation’s requirements with little to no impact to the end user.

In his uniquely self-deprecating and humorous manner, Ron has inspired and motivated audiences in South Africa, and around the world, with his tales from the road, and what it took for the most ordinary and unlikely person to achieve something quite extraordinary. Drawing on his experiences from some of the most inhospitable environments on the planet, Ron shares the tangible ‘real life’ lessons he learnt chasing, and ultimately, reaching the most audacious goal imaginable.
